We will start our tour in the “City of David” with a viewpoint on the Kedron Valley and the east side of the city and then we will watch a movie about the site, following a walking tour of the site. we will explore King David’s palace and the ancient wall, understanding the day to day life at the time.
From there we will descend down to the Warren Shaft, walking under the “City of David” until the Shiloh spring, then we will walk in the wet King Hizkiyahu Tunnel until the Shiloh Pool (only during summer).
After a short break we will descend again discovering the city’s sewer system where the Jews hid from the Romans just before the “Second Temple” was destroyed. We will go up just next to the Western Wall where we can see the damage to the wall made by the Romans at 70 AC, all this- inside Davidson Institute.
After lunch at the Jewish Quarter, we will visit the Herodian Quarter located underground the Jewish quarter for a wide angle view of the Jewish life during the second temple time, and the destruction made by the Romans.
Finally will visit to the underground tunnels of the Western Wall looking at 300 ton of stones King Herod’s builders brought from outside Jerusalem as a pillar stone for the walls of the “Second Temple”, ancient synagogue and much more…
The tour ends with a spiritual time at the western wall, were you can take some personal time.
