From Mount Olives to Old Jerusalem

The tour starts at the best panoramic viewpoint giving you the feel and look as you are about to enter the city of the Kings David and Solomon.

This viewpoint is the perfect place to get a geographical orientation of the city along with the perfect picture for you Facebook and Instagram stories.

On our way down we will visit the church of Dominus Flavit where Jesus wept over Jerusalem’s future demise.

We will also visit the Church of Gathshmanim which is located on the Kedron Valley, the place that’s known as the place Jesus was seized. Just next to it is the 2000 year old  Gathshmanim Garden of olive trees where some of them dated to the time of Jesus.

After a short walk we will enter the old city through the “Lions Gate” directly to the “Via Dolorosa”. By Catholic tradition this is the very path Jesus took after his trial at the city’s praetorian. Walking along the “Stations of the Cross” you’ll enter the Christian quarter and reach the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Here, by centuries old tradition, is the site of Jesus’ crucifixion, death, burial, and resurrection. Beside its holy parts, the church’s architecture is a fascinating reflection of the site’s turbulent history.
